Hand Builder : Kwilizile Beatrice Nyembe

Beatrice Nyembe was born at Mangweni, Loskop, Natal. Beatrice had no formal schooling. Beatrice has 5 children.  She is a large solid strong woman. Beatrice Nyembe started with Ardmore in 1991 / 1992 Beatrice held no employment before starting to sculpt and coil pots at Ardmore.

Beatrice heard about Ardmore through her grandmother, who was a Potter, and that is where Beatrice got her talent and skill.  Beatrice and Beauty Ntshalintshali have always worked side by side.

Beatrice’s  favourite animals are Zebras, and Giraffes.  Beatrice is one of most accomplished makers, , and she enjoys making Big Jugs, Bowls, Tea Pots, and Candle Sticks.  Beatrice is renowned for her square shaped jugs.
