Painter : Matrinah Ntombenhle Xaba

Matrinah Xaba was born on the 25th December 1970, at Kwavala, Loskop, Natal. Matrinah achieved her Standard 7, at Sizathina High School. Matrinah has 6 children, and is not married.

Matrinah started at Ardmore in April 1992, where she chose to learn painting.  Matrinah is a petite shy person.  Matrinah works alongside Virginia Xaba. Matrinah’s favourite themes are zebras and birds.  Matrinah’s work can be recognized by her extensive use of greens, pinks and yellows.  Her works are cheerful and bright.
