Hand Builder : Paulina Hadebe

Paulina Hadebe was born on the 09th December, 1958, at Ardmore Farm, Winterton. Paulina did her education at Mountain View School, and left after Standard 1. Paulina is married and she has 5 children. Paulina  started with Ardmore in 1989.

Paulina knew of Ardmore from her mother, Agnes Ntshalintshali, and her step-sister Bonnie Ntshalintshali, who were artists at Ardmore.  When she saw their ceramic pieces,  Paulina went and asked Fee Halsted-Berning, whether she could learn with them.

Paulina enjoys creating Vases and Jugs, by hand coiling.   Paulina’s vases and jugs have a wonderfully lyrical style.  She has a very subtle and understated way of creating her forms with wonderful texture, one loves to touch  Paulina’s creations. Paulina works with Beauty Ntshalintshali and Beatrice Nyembe.

“I have been so happy being at Ardmore, because I have educated my children, and support them.  I make my own home with my family.  I wish to improve my work, as well as Ardmore improving.”
